Programming Note: Remembering Romero

Today is a sad day for horror, my dear fiends. George A. Romero, legendary director and godfather of the zombie movie genre, has passed away.

I had a fun Monster Monday planned for tomorrow based on a movie I watched last night, but in light of this news I don’t think it would be appropriate to post something silly or goofy. Because damn it, I don’t feel very lighthearted right now. I will share that monster with you guys next week, but this week will be devoted to George A. Romero, a horror legend who turned zombie cinema into sociopolitical commentary and made some of the scariest movies in the world.

Rest In Peace, sir, and thank you for the movies.
